Terms

The licence you get when you buy Clip Bin, and what we promise in return.

Who you’re buying from

Clip Bin is made by Insert Editing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our details are at the end of this page.

Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for every order. Paddle takes the payment, adds any sales tax that applies, sends your receipt and handles refunds. Paddle’s own buyer terms cover the purchase itself.

What you get

  • A licence to use Clip Bin for as long as you like. It’s a one-time payment, not a subscription.
  • Use on your own work and on paid client work, on as many projects as you like.
  • Use on up to two machines that you use, for example your edit machine and your laptop.
  • Updates for as long as Clip Bin is maintained, delivered from the panel.

The licence is for one person. If several editors use Clip Bin, each needs their own licence. For a team, or a licence in a company’s name, email [email protected].

Price and payment

Prices are in US dollars. Tax is added at checkout where it applies, and Paddle may show the total in your local currency.

Your licence key

Your key arrives by email after you buy. Clip Bin needs an internet connection to activate it, then works offline, checking the key again from time to time when it’s online.

If you change machines, you can move your licence. If you get stuck, email us and we’ll move it for you.

What you can’t do

  • share your key, or use one licence on more than two machines at once
  • sell, rent or give away Clip Bin or your key
  • copy, modify or reverse-engineer Clip Bin, except where the law allows it

Your projects

Clip Bin works inside your Premiere project. It creates subsequences, files them in bins and renames them. It never deletes anything: clearing a capture moves it to a cleared bin. Everything it makes is an ordinary Premiere item that stays in your project if you stop using Clip Bin.

Keep backups of your projects, as you would with any tool.

Premiere versions

Clip Bin supports the Premiere versions listed in the Store and the Docs, on macOS and Windows. Please check yours before buying, under Premiere › About Premiere. When Adobe releases new versions, we aim to keep Clip Bin working with them, but we can’t promise compatibility with versions that don’t exist yet. If an update stops Clip Bin working on a version we list, and we can’t fix it, you can ask for a refund even after 30 days.

Refunds

Ask within 30 days and you’ll get your money back in full, no reason needed. See Refunds for how it works. When a refund goes through, your licence ends.

Our responsibility

Clip Bin is provided as it is. We test it carefully, but we can’t promise it will be free of faults or suit every way of working.

As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything to do with Clip Bin is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can’t legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If Clip Bin is faulty, doesn’t work as described, or can’t be made to work on a version we list, you’re entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms limits that, and if you’re buying as a consumer they add to your rights rather than taking any away.

Ending the licence

Your licence ends if you get a refund, or if you break these terms and don’t put it right after we’ve told you. If it ends, Clip Bin stops working, but everything it made stays in your projects.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when Clip Bin changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones published when you bought.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the protection of the consumer law where you live.
